In audio production, time is money. That’s why audio producers and production companies need professional voiceover talent who is reliable, easy to direct, and efficient in session. They need a voice over artist who understands the script, can deliver the right tone for the brand, and who is easy to work with Someone who can interpret feedback and deliver results quickly. As a professional female voice actor with more than 10 years of experience, I work with producers and engineers and agencies to deliver the right tone quickly, without a lot of wasted takes or back-and-forth that can add up to cost overages for the client.
I believe voiceover is a collaboration. I communicate with directors, producers and the end client to understand their project, their brand, their voice and their audience. And while I’m not afraid to ask questions, I never make a session about me. Questions are about getting a deeper understanding and making sure my delivery and my voice lands every time. It’s about making the client happy. My goal in every session is to minimize takes, interpret direction quickly, and deliver usable reads with broadcast-quality audio that easily drop into the final mix.
Because I have experience, I know the right questions to ask, and I know how to pivot when necessary. My background in journalism and as a copy editor is also helpful, as I can make suggestions when need be to help clarify a script’s verbiage or fix punctuation to achieve the desired result. All of this means getting on the same page as producers, editors, audio engineers and clients more quickly, and getting them the results they want fast and without headaches.
