It used to be that when you clicked on the “Online Classes” section in the Voice Registry website they had half a dozen recorded classes, interviews and the like with some heavy hitters in the VO industry.

 

Having personally listened to all of those, I was hoping they might update them with something new. Well, they did. Not exactly in the same way I was initially thinking, but today when I logged on (as I do every Monday to check on my feedback from the previous week’s Weekly Workout), I noticed that the home page was now advertising a promo code for iActing Studios.

 

Turns out that Voice Registry has teamed up with iActing Studios, and if you click on the “Online Classes” tab within their website now, it takes you directly to iActing, with a number of VO-specific classes listed.

 

iActing is an online acting studio that covers everything from auditioning and acting techniques to voiceover to marketing and more. While the subscription rate is a bit steep for me personally at this point in time, they DO offer 2 free hours’ worth of classes, and if you’re a Voice Registry member then you can get 50% off your subscription rate, which is a pretty nice deal!

 

I figure there are at least a couple of interesting things up there that most everyone can get something good out of for those 2 free hours, so I think I’ll check it out…
