You’ve probably heard over and over that studying improv is a great tool for voiceover talent. It’s a great way to shake you out of your standard approach to a script, to get those creative juices flowing and to shake things up a bit. All of which can lead to you feeling more creative and inspired, and when it comes to auditions can mean the difference between you submitting a totally fine, but safe, audition (which happens to sound like everyone else’s) and an audition that makes people sit up and take notice.
And isn’t the the goal? Get noticed, and hopefully book the gig?
But maybe you don’t really feel comfortable going the traditional improv route. Well, good news, because Rebecca Michaels Haugh (@LoveThatRebecca) has created an ONLINE way to study improv, SPECIFICALLY for voiceover! It’s called Love That VO (@LoveThatVO), and they’re actually offering an intro class this week (Wednesday, June 4, to be exact) for FREE!
You can also check out the schedule of other classes here.
But FREE! Kinda seems like a no-brainer, eh?
